A WORD OR TWO FROM ME

Sometimes beginnings can be very exciting! For instance the beginning of a new year brings promise and hope for goals you might set. The beginning of a new school year is always exciting because what is anticipated in the months to come. I think the beginning of each new season brings joy and a sense of wonder and beauty to it. When you start a new job it can be exciting and fun! Often beginnings are joyous.

Sometimes beginnings can be scary. For some children starting school can be scary and anxiety filled. Starting a new life in a new place can be scary as you try to navigate in your new surroundings. Beginning a new chapter of your life can be scary such as a marriage, a new born or a new career path.

However, with any change or new beginning comes growth and that growth can bring joy perhaps a joy we didn't know before. So the next time you are faced with a beginning don't think of it as scary or feel anxious. Embrace the beginning, the change and see what joy might come of it.
